The Turtle Beach XP510 is a wireless gaming headset that works best with Xbox One and 360, PS3 or PS4, or mobile devices. It works cable-free with its wireless transmitter when using game consoles or a Bluetooth connection. It’s mainly a black headset with green stitches in the headband and green accents in the ear cups.
It has voice prompts when powering on and when pairing in Bluetooth mode. The headband connects to the ear cups using a revolved axis. The ear cups can be rotated so it can rest well on your chest at break times. Attached at a slight angle are the ear cups to fit in your ears without stress and pressure.
They’ve placed most of the controls on the left ear cup. It also houses the power button, mode button (game, movie or music) and EQ preset buttons. The left ear cup also has the primary volume buttons, customizable dial, chat microphone swivel extension and Xbox chat cable input. The right ear cup of the XP510 houses the Bluetooth pairing and Bluetooth volume button.
Enjoy a surround sound experience while engrossed in your gaming sessions with the Turtle Beach XP510’s 360 degrees Dolby Surround Sound. You can choose from 3 different modes: Game, Music, or Movie modes. So you can get the best sound experience no matter how you choose to use this headset.
When used for gaming mode, you can hear the realistic and surround effects of any game being played. Hearing the audio of your enemy’s movements will give you an extra edge to win the game. Note that you need the wireless transmitter when used with game consoles.
When used for music mode, you can use the Bluetooth connection. It can play different genres with clarity and enough depth.
The 50mm drivers within the headset are responsible for the well-balanced and warm sound production of this headset.
When used for movie mode, it gives off a surrounding and realistic audio. It feels like you’re within the film. The movie mode allows you to focus and hear everything in the film.
What we love about this headset is it’s very versatile. You can use it completely wireless with any device. For game consoles, use the wireless transmitter. Connect the transmitter to the game console and then connect it to the headset. For Xbox 360, you can use the 2.5mm jack.
For mobile devices, you can use the Bluetooth connection. Pair the headset and audio source then you’re ready to go.
Chat with your teammates, make a strategy or just answer calls from your loved ones on mobile with the removable microphone. You can optionally remove the microphone when you’re not using it.
Reward yourself with complete entertainment for up to 15 hours per full charge with the XP510’s rechargeable battery. The headset shuts down automatically when unused for 10 minutes.
There are several gaming headsets with a wireless transmitter that have no Bluetooth connection. This feature is an edge compared to other gaming headsets. It is very versatile and I can use it anywhere. It produces realistic sound effects.
