Plantronics unleashes its sporty and wireless side this week as it introduced its new collection of active/sporty oriented earbuds and headphones.
Their new lineup includes the BackBeat FIT 500 Series, the 300 Series, the Boost Edition, and the Training Edition.
BackBeat FIT 500 Series
The BackBeat FIT 500 Series is the on-ear model of this bunch. They come as sweat resistant with Nano-Coating Technology.
These headphones are geared Bluetooth pairing slider and a power switch, both in one button.
Also, connected calls are available for this model through a wideband-enabled microphone.
It also has a smartphone VPA and call-control access button. This button can let the user ignore/answer calls, access Siri, Cortana, and Google Now.
The BackBeat FIT 500 Series can do it wireless or wired. It has micro-USB cord and can connect with a standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
These wireless headphones are equipped with Bluetooth v4.1 connectivity which is compatible with HSP 1.2, AVRCP 1.4, HFP 1.6, and A2DP v1.2 profiles.
Plantronics ranked the BackBeat FIT 500 Series with up to 18 hours of listening time. Its speaker has 40mm drivers which come with a bass tube design. Also, its frequency response rates between 50Hz to 20,000Hz and its sensitivity is at 92dBPL.
The BackBeat FIT 500 Series is available in Black/Teal and Black/Grey.
BackBeat FIT 300 Series
The BackBeat FIT 300 Series are pairs of earbuds in the new Plantronics line up. These headphones opt to be discreet and are specially designed to block out ambient noise. Also, it’s made for doing casual leisures and running errands. Plantronics also suggests that these wireless headphones are best for light running, workouts, and ‘casual active’ activities like dog walking.
These wireless headphones last up to 6 hours on a single charge. Also, these earbuds are equipped with Bluetooth v4.1 connectivity which is compatible with HSP 1.2, AVRCP 1.4, HFP 1.6, and A2DP v1.2 profiles.
These earbuds have a single mic input and function goes with the frequency response range of 20Hz and 20,000Hz.
BackBeat FIT Boost / Training Edition
The BackBeat FIT Boost Edition is powered by Bluetooth 3.0, AVRCP v1.4, A2DP v1.2, HFP 1.7, and HSP 1.1.
Also, this series comes with their charging pouch. Plantronics said this series could last up to 18 hours of listening time per charge. It has a frequency response range of 50Hz and 20,000Hz, and it’s packed with 13 dynamic drivers.
The PEAR, Personal Coach App, can work with both the BackBeat FIT Boost Edition and the BackBeat FIT Training Edition, in Android and iOS.
The only difference between the Boost and the Training editions is the charging pouch. Both series work with 12 PEAR Personal Coaching App workouts. They also come with a six-month access to PEAR+ membership.
Pricing and Availability
The BackBeat FIT 300 Series is available at Amazon.com since September 20, 2017. It’s available for $$ in four colors, such as grey/lime green, black/grey, grey/coral, and dark blue/blue.
In early October, the BackBeat FIT 500 Series BackBeat FIT Training Edition will be released in the market. The BackBeat FIT 500 Series wireless earbuds will be available at $$ in Black/Teal and Black/Grey.
The BackBeat FIT Training Edition will also be available in early October, at a reasonable price of $$$. Various colors such as Power Blue, Sport Grey, Core Black, Fit Fuchsia, and Stealth Green will be available in the market.
